Science tutoring

Science tutoring that makes it click

Science is full of new vocabulary, diagrams and labs, and it's easy to fall behind. A classroom science teacher works with a group of up to 4 students to make the ideas concrete, with real examples and plenty of questions.

What we cover

Whatever your child is studying this week, including:

  • Elementary and middle school science: matter, energy, weather, ecosystems, the human body
  • Earth & Space Science: plate tectonics, rocks and minerals, weather, the solar system
  • Biology / Living Environment: cells, genetics, evolution, ecology
  • Chemistry: atomic structure, bonding, the periodic table, reactions
  • Lab reports, reading data tables and graphs, and Regents prep

How a session works

Every session is 60 minutes, in person, with at most 4 students and one real classroom teacher. Students bring what they're working on that week (homework, notes, a test coming up) and the session is built around it.

  • $40 per student, per session. No packages or contracts.
  • Groups of up to 4, so every question gets answered.
  • Book seats for your child, siblings or friends in one go.
  • Text and email confirmations and reminders.

Questions parents ask

Do you help with labs and lab reports?

Yes. We help students understand what a lab is showing, write it up clearly, and read the graphs and data tables that show up on tests.

Can you help with the science Regents?

Yes. High school sessions can focus on Regents prep for Earth & Space Science, Biology/Living Environment and Chemistry.

Why groups of exactly four?

Four is small enough that every student gets real attention and every question gets answered, and big enough that students learn from each other's questions too. It also keeps the price at $40 per student.

Can I book for more than one student?

Yes. Book seats for your own kids, a friend, or a full group of 4. Anyone can also grab a single seat and the rest of the group fills in with other students.

What if the group doesn't fill up?

The session still happens at the same price, $40 per student, with however many students signed up.

One good question can change everything.

Seats are $40 per student, in groups of 4.
